BGP Hands On Workshop for network engineers

KeNOG is running a In person BGP Workshop from the 14th to 15th of May 2026, focusing on Intermdiate to Advanced BGP concepts.
The course is aimed at novice to intermediate level engineers interested in building their skills in hands on BGP, and will help form a basis for advanced BGP trainings in the future.
Upon completion, learners will be awarded with verifiable Certificates of Participation.
By the end of the course, learners should be able to:
✅ Configure Internal BGP (iBGP)
Peering within a network
✅ Configure External BGP (eBGP)
Peering between networks
✅ Troubleshoot BGP Sessions
Identify and fix BGP issues
✅ Filter incoming and outgoing BGP setups
Identify and prevent potential BGP Leaks
💻 PC or Laptop
Modern browser required — small screens not recommended
🧠 Basic BGP knowledge (see BGP Bootcamp)
Comfort with the command line
⏱ Commit two full days
